The Pink Floyd tribute band, Brit Floyd will perform their Immersion World Tour 2017 at the Santander Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:30 PM. This will be the tribute band’s third time performing at the Santander Performing Arts Center. The last time they performed at the venue was in 2013 and in 2014.
Brit Floyd formed their tribute band in 2011 to honor and recreate the sound of Pink Floyd’s live shows. Damian Darlington, who is the musical director, guitarist, and singer of the band started off in a band called “The Australian Pink Floyd Show”. He believed that he could create a band that recreated and honored Pink Floyd better and decided to start the band, Brit Floyd. The band started off in Liverpool, United Kingdom and have toured around the world since then. The band consists of 13 members ranging from keyboard players, guitarists, backing singers, drums, media directors, and more. During their time as a band, Pink Floyd’s bass player and vocalist Guy Pratt joined Brit Floyd on stage to perform with them during a live show in Liverpool. In addition, Pink Floyd’s saxophonist and rhythm guitarist joined them on stage at a show in Los Angeles to perform the songs Money and Us and Them.
Last year, Brit Floyd went on a 76-date United Stated Tour that featured an extended set list and performed Pink Floyd’s 24 minute, Echoes. They also had a million dollar stage design. However, the Immersion World Tour is expected to be the best tour yet. They will be performing their favorite moments from “The Dark Side of the Moon”, “Wish You Were Here”, “The Wall”, and “The Division Bell”. They will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of the “Animals” album by paying a special tribute two it. Brit Floyd’s shows consist of high-definition sound, million dollar light shows, and state of the art video design.
